Excellent Product July 27, 2010 TJ I have been using this product in my car for over 3 months now and it has been working great. The only problem I saw was that the second screen was blurry after a month, but it started working fine after I replugged the cable that attaches it to the main screen.
Overall, I am very satisfied with this purchase and kids are loving it.
Great DVD players for the price July 26, 2010 Michelle Rhen I was a little worried about ordering this item after reading the feedback, but I am so glad that I did! Great DVD players for the money. Super easy to secure and remove from the headrests. The screens have a tilt to make minor adjustments to minimize glare and the player opens out from the headrest making it so easy to switch discs that my 6 year old could do it himself... a huge bonus. We have used them for about 8-10 hours of travel so far and have had absolutely no problems.
no problems yet /so far so good July 26, 2010 RICH SAW ALOT OF MIXED REVIEWS SO I WAS A LITTLE WORRIED ABOUT WASTING MONEY. DROVE TO TENNESSEE FROM FLORIDA AND THEY WORKED GREAT ALL THE WAY THERE AND BACK. HAVENT HAD NO PROBLEMS BESIDES THE FUSE BLOWING IN THE CIGERATE LIGHTER WIRE THAT COMES FROM THE TVS PLUG. (NOT THE CAR) LIKE THE PRICE AND MADE SURE IT LOOKED GOOD WHEN I PUT THEM IN THE SEQUIA. MUST USE HEADPHONES AND BUY NICE ONES ITS WORTH IT. THE PROBLEM IS FOR ME WHEN I TURN THE CAR OFF THE DVD MOVIE STARTS OVER ALL THE TIME. TOYATOS AND HONDAS ARE LIKE THAT WITH THERE CIG LIGHTERS. SO FAR SO GOOD 2 MONTHS NOW.
Good one July 23, 2010 Danasekar Srinivasapuram Good video playback. Kids enjoyed a lot. But the remote control was missed during shipping. I have returned the unit and planning to reorder again.
Began to experience problems after 34 days July 21, 2010 Josh Marquis (North Carolina, USA) 07/21/2010:
My wife and I needed to replace our RCA display once it failed shortly after it's warranty expired so I figured this was a great buy for only $97.88 considering it's 4 1/2 star review at the time.
I was very impressed with the packaging, carrying bag and ease of setup but after 34 days the screen began to display lines instead of a picture on the unit with the DVD player. Once we got it working again, it would randomly choose between displaying the DVD picture or the lines. When it would display the picture, he colors would go back and forth to black and white.
I'm in the process of trying to get in contact with Axion to have it fixed so I'll update this review as it goes on.
07/28/2010:
After over a week of trying to contact their customer support without any luck I finally left a message on their answering machine. I do not expect a phone call back but will update this review as the process of trying to get my players fixed goes on.
7/29/2010:
After no contact from the company and no answers to my phone calls today, I contacted Amazon.com's customer service and they have allowed me to return this item for a 100% refund even though the 30 day return policy expired on 7/04/2010. Once again, Amazon's customer service proves to be the best out there.
